the_garynator
Are there any options that could be added to lower FS? I'm thinking in the 30hz range. CortezDTV
Face to palm How is lowering fs going to help u? The lol 6 will have a low fs once broken in. It prolly has 6 spiders gonna take longer than a level 5 before u should even try to measure the fs of the 6 Edited January 30, 2013 by CortezDTV Quote SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/

the_garynator
it was an impulse question...Didn't know how much lower fs gets after breaking in as I've never measured t/s before and after. as far as why, lowering fs allows more gain at lower tuning frequencies. Tuning lower than the sub's FS tends to drop average port gain. 36hz isn't bad, I'm not opposed to tuning it around that, but having a lower FS would allow me to play around with tuning lower without sacrificing as much output. Thanks. the_garynator
I'm talking enclosure gain....overall...has nothing to do with what your peak is or what your car metered. If you want, I can provide some screenshots of what I mean. CortezDTV
Wasn't trying to be rude before..... Also how a sub is broken in can change the specs from one sub to another One that is burped at break in vs one that is gently massaged for a few weeks or months etc etc In general the ya specs are close but look at it like amps they don't all clamp the exact same numbers but they are the "same" and have very similar numbers Quote SCSB Santa Cruz Speaker Box Build logs: Daily Driver Lemon Marquis 2 american bass 750.1s 350.4 on 14 focal 6.5s sq 945 on 4 hertz tweeters Mystery subs http://www.stevemead...__fromsearch__1 The Mustang 'dubbed' Shirley the project from bullet holes to badass http://www.stevemead...cond-skin-time/
