sold a watch on ebay. buyer wants me to pay to have the battery replaced!

People always bitch on ebay. I just sold a phone now the guy is complaining that he put a random sim card in it and it dosnt work... YOU NEED TO ACTIVATE THE PHONE! lol

Just tell him if he leaves positive feedback you will paypal him $5 for the battery.

If i buy a car and the battery is dead, and i wasn't told the battery was dead i would be pissed. How can i use a car without a battery, or a watch without a battery?

A watch is different than a game controller because the battery is more integral to it, you know controllers eat batteries and you expect them to be replaced often. I guess what i am saying is, it's about the context, some things are assumed that you will have to buy a battery for, some things should be functioning. Plus, if you put in your listing that the watch works and didn't mention the dead battery and knew about it you should make it right. Think of it as Customer Service.

Hard to sell something and say that it works when it has a dead battery.

I was just trying to say, some things that run on batteries should have working batteries when you buy them. Think of it like this, what if wal-mart starting selling watches without batteries and then charged you for one and installation separately?

Sounds like some shit Apple would do.
