scoobywrx05 Posted January 31, 2013 Report Posted January 31, 2013 How much port*? depends on how big the box ends up being common rule of thumb is around 14-17" of port per cubic ft. So you are saying that if I have 2 different 12" subs that both require 2 cuft ported and 1 sub that has an xmax of 14mm and the other has an xmax of 32mm on the same power and tuned to the same frequency that they are going to need the same port area?

WillPwn4Food Posted February 2, 2013 Author Report Posted February 2, 2013 Was thinking I might need new springs. Right now I have a 6.5 cu ft MDF box with 2 15" n2's and the suspension looks alright. A little sag. Figured with birch and 4 lighter woofers it shouldn't be too much heavier. WillPwn4Food Posted February 2, 2013 Author Report Posted February 2, 2013 Ah that answers a question too. I was wondering if people bolt them down or what, and if they sprayed anything over the raw metal to prevent rusting.
