vw passat Posted February 3, 2013 Author Report Posted February 3, 2013 i post a screen shot of my specs those you want joe?
Guest Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 i explained it more than i should have to. i cannot explain it any clearer. ill say it once more and then im done helping. port area = square inches of port area per cube TIMES (MULTIPLICATION) the net volume of the box. example: port area is 50 square inches. the net volume of the box is 5 cubic feet. using 2nd grade math, that means that there is 10 square inches of port area per cubic foot of NET box volume. second example: 15sqin per cube in a box that is 10 cubic feet net, yields 150sqin of port area. understand? you can calculate BOTH square inches per cube AND port area, as long as you post the box size and one of the two figures. i need to get paid for this.

zxsonnyxz Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 You should be able to reach that with a daily tuned box, with a decent amp and the power to run it. This reached 142.xx db (32-33hz peak) on music sealed on the dash in a Volvo vagon, tuned around 30hz on stock electrical. The port is covered by the amp, but it's about 77.5 sq.in. Joe X Posted February 3, 2013 Report Posted February 3, 2013 thats only the port joe? and what about the outside specs and freq? tx mate I don't think the Torres you posted is way off, I think you might have built the box incorrectly, I wanted to look at a diagram similar to what I posted above but with the dimensions of the box you built.
