Hellbilly429
I have some questions about a sub enclosure for a trunk build, has anyone ever run sub forward port back in a trunk before with any good results? What about sealed off sub forward port back? I have attempted to search this forum and online for answers to these questions with no avail. Also if it was worth a try I would build one using a slot port rather than an aeroport, not sure how often that is done either or what it would do to the tuning of the box? As always any help is greatly appreciated as I have pondered this for quite some time now... 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
OrionStang
Why not both forward, or both back? SMD Super Seller My Feedback Thread

bassfreake
I haven't tried it yet but I've been told that subs back with the port going forward toward the car as long as you actually have the seats down or a hole between the seats and the port facing into that hole that doing it like that is great for insane airflow Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. Hellbilly429
hmmm, but does it make it louder or just more noticable air-flow? I keep my back seat down anyways as I have the sub and port forward right now and get pretty good air-flow. I was just curious if there would be anything to gain there as a bunch of SUV's do sub forward port back or sub up port back. 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log

I don't think it actually makes it louder... but it might help channel the volume into the cab instead of it rattling around the trunk for a while before coming into the cab... and yea most definitely more airflow so you'll feel it more (maybe even be able to get some awesome hair tricks out of your trunk build lol) Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. Hellbilly429
how would it be more flow than sub and port facing into the cab with the seat down? 2018 Honda Civic Sport Hatchback (build in progress) NVX Sound Deadener (Front Doors) Stinger FAST Rings Stock Electrical SSA Evil 6.5's Front Speakers Stock rear speakers MB Quart ONX4.80 speaker amp Rockford Fosgate T-1500bdcp DC Level 4 12" D1 @ 2-ohm Box In Design Stage Stock RadioMy Build Log
bassfreake
how would it be more flow than sub and port facing into the cab with the seat down? more than having both facing into the cab? probably not I was going with more flow than subs and port facing into the trunk Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out.
