Swordlordboy1234 Posted February 2, 2014 Author Report Share Posted February 2, 2014 My SMD volt meter used to drop to 13.1 ish full tilt. Now my SMD volt meter drops to 13.7 full tilt. I also used the CT sounds bass knob and used it outside the car it said my amp is now seeing 13.1 after the retune. So I assume I was dropping lower according to the ct bass knob when I was clipping worse. I think I'm going to try retuning again with the subsonic slightly higher to dampen the lower notes (the ones that clip faster) and boost the gain to make the above 30hz notes a little louder. Don't get me wrong I love how it sounds and its clean. It just feels like 26hz-32hz is MURDERING and above that its a little quieter and super clean but I feel like there is more output in this thing. The subs hardly move now. So basically I'm gonna keep playing with things until I get max output to the ear with zero clipping on the bass knob on all my favorite decaf songs (between 24-46hz) and still have zero distortion from my headunit at -0db and zero distortion at -5db. Ran active off my ct125.4 for now. See if i can upgrade amps again financially. this front battery failure kinda screwed up my plans. only reason my car started this morning was because of my rear battery. Load tested the front one, FAILED. No wonder my voltage has been acting weird. Symptoms.. 4000 rms of audio full tilt. 13.7. Turns on any accessary, 13.5 (no audio on) but it makes sense. Now my front battery was basically a black hole and my rear battery was playing the role for both. Gonna take both out, recycle the front.. boom50cal purchased the deka 31, it shall sit on my charger for a while. Gonna do him a favor and train that battery like I've been training my d3100. Glad i had such a good rear battery or my car wouldn't have started. No lie. d3100 is sitting at 12.86 now after 36 hours. Got it resting from 12.59 after not being charged for 6 months. Was used 6-8 months before that, so its about a year old d3100 but she is back in fighting shape after some work out plans guided by snow drifter.
