Dozier Posted March 19, 2008 Author Report Posted March 19, 2008 Ok, so here is a few more to hold you over for a while. Fiberglassed and sprayed with rubberized bedliner spray. Got rid of the Pioneer Avic Z1. Bought a Panasonic Strada 905U. Nice. Hope that holds ya'll over for a few days. I do have the baffle ready to go in, with holes cut and everything. Just did not take any pics of it. This weekend coming up, I will have the second set of Boston Acoustics in the kick panels, I will have the front on and subs in with trim panel and possibly some carpet to clean some things up a bit. Ha ha ha. haha i tried...i stripped em. or almost at least. same thing with my front seat belts by the console. shit is rusted all up through there. used a drill to bore out the middle of em, and they came out. still had the threads...so i just put em right back in there

Dozier Posted March 20, 2008 Author Report Posted March 20, 2008 Getting the wiring ready for this weekend for the subs to go in. Something has come to my attention. I have two US Amps AX3000DE amps that pull 300 amps of current each. That is 600 total. I have an Iraggi Alternator 240 amp alt. I have no batteries or caps. I have just an interstate battery. I do have a kinetik 2400 at the house in Alabama. However for the time being. I think I will have some serious voltage issues if I try to run it too hard. What do you think? Maybe a quarter of the way up before they shut off? Ha ha ha...It is going to be funny as hell for the people that I know here in Houston when they want a demo and the truck goes only a little bit up and the amps shut out. They are gonna be like..."that sucks" I can't wait to hear the reactions. I will have to get a couple more 2400's and hook em up and make a special trip just to show it off agian. Maybe I will call ole Dominick up for a custom bracket for two more alternators or something. Hell I might try to make one and use the factory alternator. Dozier Posted March 26, 2008 Author Report Posted March 26, 2008 Except for the cosmetic portions of the box, it is done. It is pretty loud. I will take pics and post them up soon. The amps are running at .5 ohms, and I have voltage problems. So I purchased two more HC2400's from Kinetik, and a battery isolator. I will put them in tomorrow in the back of the box, inside it, and run the wires out of the box through the back. Should be ok. We were looking into mounting them under the truck, but I don't think that will work due to clearance issues. Definitely satisfied in the sound. www.AlabamaDrift.com04 Silverado in the works
