Small update.

So the shop i ordered my Hertz speakers from is shady as fuck I paid for them a month ago and still haven't received them. every time i call the shop they screen my calls the one time i did manage to get a hold of them the said they shipped them to me when i asked for a tracking number though he couldn't produce one. however since this is an Authorized shop according to Elletromedia (the North american hertz distributor) i called them and they said that if i don't get the speakers soon to to call them back and they will figure it out. still pisses me the fuck off though. i just wwant my damn speakers /rant

on a more positive note I called crutchfield about the issues i was having with my H/U. they told me that i have a defective head unit. they said they couldn't replace it with the same one because they don't have it in stock anymore so instead they are sending me the 2013 model (KDC- X997) since its on sale right now i am also getting a $40 refund. so i should have a brand new H/U soon here

damn those are some beautiful subs. Time to build a new box for 'em to see if you can improve that score some, I dont see why you couldn't get a 43-45 out of it

im actually working on that. i would like to build a new box for them because the port on my box now is not nearly big enough. problem is i dont have a whole lot of experience building boxes so i have been trying to find someone to help me (NOT BUILD FOR ME) and teach me how to design and build the right way. hopefully ill get a new one in before winter.

Got a question, could you measure the width of that box for me?

34-1/8"

you can probably maybe another 2 inches in there but that would be pushing it. you get limited by the wheel wells

Looks good man! Sexy subs!

Trust me youll have no problem getting ateast a 43 with some tweaking. My civic is easy as crap to get loud. Easier than my wagon was (no wall)

My worry is the trunk opening. Actually, I'm going to be doing two hds312s in a 5^3 box. Its 16h x 36w x 23d, I'm thinking it is leave the top off I shoulbe be able to slide it in but not completely sure yet. As it is cold and I don't feel like pulling my stuff out yet. Once I do that in going to build a mock out of cardboard to see if it will slide in. My current box is 16.5 x 34 x 20.375. Ideally it would love for it slide in not problem. But I doubt that.

Yes I highly doubt youre going to get a box that big to slide in. Most likely you're going to have it be built in the trunk and permanent.

Anyways, back to a cool build log!
