maniakp0w3r Posted September 8, 2016 Report Posted September 8, 2016 Ok 1.2k on a 15 the video still isnt impressive.... you wan't to put a pair of 3k rms 15"subs to four 600rms 12" subs? At what wattage 1.2k if i could build boxes better i would have no problem with that. im saying it was running LESS than HALF of its rated power(it can handle more!)and it still makes you think what idiot would buy 600w 12" sub for twice the price of a 15 3kw sub..only so he has that sticker that says dc on it.. really for the price of that 1 12 i can get 2 15's and for the price of a 600wrms amp from dc,sundown or crescendo or whoever else i would get two amps for 5krms total! im not saying either company is shit or bad.. im saying that all these american companies are full on ripping people off.. the products they sell in reality dont cost 1/5th of the price to manufacture them uh they are 200 a piece u.s and for the price of my equivalent 12 which would be the lvl2 which is 274 how can you buy 2? And you can get two 2.5k rms amp for 250? i doubt the 2 are doing 5k rms.... show me a video that makes that 15 look impressive and maybe ill change my mind... doing half its rated on the back seat was just really unimpressive seen better with an sundown sa 15 which is only 50 dollars more moved more air with about the same wattage as yours sooo how is yours a better deal? if you have to push full rated to the 15 to get the same output as a 600rms sub on 1k watts? .... I guess it could of been the box you either have no idea how subwoofers work or are just plain thick.. sensetivity,fs,and so so much more matter when saying anything.. its like saying a zv4 15 with 1.2k will be really good and really powerful when in reality it wont even move much..it needs like 4k just to get to xmax... i dont need to waste my time to argue with you.. my 15 cost me £136 so £272 for two... the amps cost £200 each and i doubt a 600wrms amp from sundown costs 300 when a scv2300 costs nearly £600.. and see you just proved my point more money = more performance when in reality it dont mean shit what it costs. just because american companies rip everyone off dont mean 5kw amps need to cost a fortune :D

ckeeler11 Posted September 8, 2016 Report Posted September 8, 2016 Come on guys it says on the website it is devastatingly powerful. This subwoofer has been designed from the bottom up to be devastatingly powerful, astonishingly accurate and suprisingly affordable – we are confident you will not be disappointed!
CstrokerV Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Im guess im done trolling.... i must just not get it that it doesnt look like an impresssive sub even if its only running off 1.2k my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/
maniakp0w3r Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 Im guess im done trolling.... i must just not get it that it doesnt look like an impresssive sub even if its only running off 1.2k if you were in the uk id love to show you what it does.. in a e60 5 series it peaks between 24-32hz believe it or not.. even the basic 12" pathetic £25 sub that you can push all the way in to xmech just with 1 finger hit 20hz and lower... and moved a lot of air for what it is.. im telling you they really really do make amazing subs.. its because instead of investing in shiny bottom/top plate, nice logo/design... they invest almost the whole budget they have for the sub itself(motor, voice coil,spider,surround,cone..etc) not stupid stickers and not chrome/stainless steel top or bottom plates.. its called value for money..thats why i like them this sub hit 20hz: http://www.bassfaceaudio.co.uk/product/power12-1-12-active-subwoofer/ the woofer itself: http://www.bassfaceaudio.co.uk/product/spl12-1-12-sub/
maniakp0w3r Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 this guy. yep this guy who doesnt like to spend his money for stickers and thin air Come on guys it says on the website it is devastatingly powerful. This subwoofer has been designed from the bottom up to be devastatingly powerful, astonishingly accurate and suprisingly affordable – we are confident you will not be disappointed! well im sure if you heard their xpl15.1 youd seriously ask yourself why is sundown charging thousands of $ for their subs and for their amps..which are built in probably the same factory.. you guys like to waste money or what? taking 3.5k-5k rms is a huge amount of power.. might not be devastating but its sure as hell a lot more than any other subwoofer in the price range..

Jhunt94 Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 For us it's not wasting money, we can buy low range sundown stuff for less than $100. Hell I only paid about $300 for a DC Audio lvl 4 12". I can honestly tell you that if you were to sit any speaker in Sundowns range against whatever it is that you have, you'd be able to tell a difference in quality. In car audio you gotta pay to play, if you're happy with your sub then that's great, but there's people here that are competing and chasing numbers that have to spend a bunch of money to get where they are at. I'd encourage you to look at Sq equipment, and you'll notice an even bigger price gap. 2007 Ford F-150 Reg. Cab. CstrokerV Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 my whole thing is you say they are so great yet showed nothing to support it.. the video isn't impressive put it on the 3k rms and on a proven 3k rms,,,, then burp it on 5k or so a few times see if it hold up like a sundown a dc etc.... my build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/142505-small-build-log-4-dc-lvl3-10s-tl-update-link-to-rebuild/ http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/154258-rebuild-6-lvl3-12s-update-small-video-nothing-spectacular/ new build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/188181-03-trailblazer-slow-build-8-dc-lvl3-12-m1-motor-m2-parts/

I'd encourage you to look at Sq equipment, and you'll notice an even bigger price gap. but you exactly just proved my point...you said "Hell I only paid about $300 for a DC Audio lvl 4 12" " thats a fucking joke for that money.. like i said u can get two of my 15's for that money Dont play them at max.. itll sound A LOT LOT better and itll still be a lot lot louder.. you guys think that bassface is literally specs and no go i know what sound quality is. i have a friend who is a sound technichian(fixes and does audio for clubs) and he took me with him so i can check out the setup in one of the clubs he was at and believe me those subs alone cost 3x jonathan price's whole hoe 4.0 including the truck.. the sound there was incredible yet it wasnt that much clearer than my 15! the only difference there was is that the club subs shake a lot more and dont fart regardless of how much you turn them up..obviously 4x18's sound a lot louder than my 15 but quality wasnt that much better.. what i was saying is that the only sundown subwoofers that can compete with my 15 cost more than 3-4 times! yet the ones that cost 3-4 times more are a little bit louder and have a bigger xmax ..that doesnt justify a 400% increase in cost. imagine you had to pay 400% the current pretrol/diesel price because it said it was premium.. would you ? course not unless youre bill gates..anyway at the end of the day if youre happy to pat 400% the price for a 10-15% advantage then thats cool by me
