Mikey Bates Posted February 21, 2013 Report Share Posted February 21, 2013 So I went to take out stock battery and drop in my D 6500. I had tsunami terminals on it... The pos terminal was totally fine and the negative was totally corroded, when I took it off the post was fine and not leaking and the wires were ok. Skullz Posted February 21, 2013 Report Share Posted February 21, 2013 The negative side will always corrode being under the hood exposed to the elements, if i'm not mistaken the gases escaping from the battery cause it to corrode. Lead-acid batteries under the hood = no problem as long as the connection stays clean. AGM batteries are sealed so they won't corrode. IF you do see corrosion on an AGM, then your battery may have a small leak and it should be checked. This is especially important if the battery is directly inside your cabin. No, Jeep Grand Cherokee...but the wires connected were a little sketchy lol, some didnt fit so it was a mess of wires being held in and wasnt clean...
