IMO that would be even smarter because then he can avoid clipping and he can be sure he is not under power OR over powering his subs. lol that would be retarded. why buy 10k of power to use only 5k? its like buying a dragster to drive it at 35 mph so the engine wont blow 4 level 4 15's on the 5k at .5 ohms I fail to see why it's "retarded".It's easier on his electrical to turn the amps down and it will give him leeway for the future when he wants to upgrade subs and electrical. its retarded because 500 amp draw is the same if running one 5k at max or running 2 to get 5k. the power demand wont change a thing. running 2 amps will not help him at all. and the second amp will be just overkill and waist of money Wait a second, I thought you were arguing for him to buy the XLs and run two amps?I'm not apposing to hi running a single amp. It makes no difference besides maybe easier future upgrades. Umm, not sure where you all get this info at, but more efficiency = less current draw, period. That's what efficiency is, being efficient... 2 5K's strapped @2 ohm is gonna have less draw than one @ .5, and so forth and so on. I would think... I'd lots rather let 2 amps do easy work, than have one amp working it's guts out, to get the same power. Never seen power. Currently for sale. Sadly they would not fit. 4 15s has more cone area anyway. As of this second here is the plan. (you guys wanted it!) -10 PWX 6s -6 FT1 tweets -4 DC Level 4 15s -2 DC 5K -3 DC 4.175 -3SIXTY3 + iPad I assume this will be around 12kW total. Should be fine electrically. Have 8 Runs going into each 5K. 1/0 reducers for the 175s. All SHCA 1/0. 5 AGM batts. Mechman 320A *22 Runs of 1/0 to the amps. *4 runs from the engine compartment to the trunk. *2 runs from the alt to the batt. *8 runs from the batts to the chassis. 22 runs??? fawk... Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. killallblue Posted May 31, 2013 Report Posted May 31, 2013 Well both layer on the one side wall were installed today the new door gaskets and trunk gasket were put on rear door panels taken off and the rear fuses are mounter to the side of the box where I want them Did figure out that the 175.4s Probally can't go in the side windows so all 5 Amps might go in the trunk
