When I was doing mine I thought about it that far forward but it just felt right in my face. But carry on, I'm interested for sure. Me and Nick were looking at your build to see what your plan was. I saw how tilted yours was and figured since our windshields are massive and have a very aggressive angle the light would fuck with the screen. It would be much easier and faster to put it straight on but I wanted it tilted towards me (like a supra dash) as well as more upright so I do not get any glare. Also Easier to navigate and shit when its at more of an upright angle. I saw how you had to sacrifice your air vent as well. I love my A/C. Just paid to have it replaced in 2011 so I'm sure not about to give up a vent yet lol. Its a tight fit but The extra work will be worth it. Honestly the worst part for me was the resin. We were checking the temp and it was peaking at 101F. The mold came out great! Yeah that is why I scrapped that one. It just didn't work out. But ya know, that's the only way to learn right? So my plan now is much more straight up, but I don't want to have to fill that whole back area to put it straight up. So back it will go. As far as loosing that vent, it's really not a big deal. You're going to loose one center vent, you have a second, and if you seal off the one you're eliminating, it will push more out of the other 3. Trust me, you're not gonna miss that vent. I'm a big A/C guy myself, and I rolled with it closed off for a bit just to see and the second center vent rotates over enough to take care of the center duties, and the outside vent is going to take care of the sides.
