lowriderman22 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 Hi, new to this forum and I wanted to ask which Rockford Fosgate component system do you guys like, prefer, recommend, and sound quality? T1652-S or T2652-S? Also is the T1652-S and the T165-S the same speakers?
Swordlordboy1234 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 The t2 sounds better with a soft dome tweeter. The t1 can sound a bit harsher but some people like loud tweeters "me" and the t651 is a coax with the tweeter in the center of the speaker. Skullz Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 I prefer components with silk tweeters over metal tweeters as the break in time is pretty long with metal before they begin to mellow out. It all comes down to preference of what you are looking for that will dictate which one you choose and sometimes price can be a factor. 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
CleanSierra Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 OP, you DID mention sound quality, but I didn't see the option for the T3 set of components. THOSE would be the route for SQ or the T5s, bankroll permitting of course... Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.

Swordlordboy1234 Posted February 24, 2013 Report Posted February 24, 2013 X2 on what Justin said... Slik tweeters from the t3 sound much better. But I like a bit of harshness. I hated my buddies MMats German set of components. They had (top quality silk tweeters from Germany) and I'm sure they sound amazing for those SQ guys. But I like piercing tweeters, mids that make you scared.. And bass that makes you jump. Aka GROUND POUNDERS if you want SQ go t3 for Rockford components. lowriderman22 Posted February 24, 2013 Author Report Posted February 24, 2013 T2 it is! I'll invest in the T3 later on when money is available... Also anyone know what amp in the power series of rockford fosgate would power 2-3 sets of the T2?
bcbrassard Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 T2s for sure, i have them up front and just bought another pair to put in rear doors in 2 weeks. Current have T1652 in rear deck and they sound good but the sound stage is way off so pulling those out to run T265 comnp in rear doors. I have a T400-4 dedicated to each set even though the one amp would run both. T400-4s a good amp, wish i have the $ for 2 T600-4 or great. But it is a small car and i am trying to go as SQ as possible. So ya the bibber the better on power.
Skullz Posted February 25, 2013 Report Posted February 25, 2013 Get the biggest amplifier you can afford. The more dynamic headroom you have the better and cleaner they'll sound at the louder volumes without distortion. The rockford fosgate T1000.4AD may seem like an over kill amp but it is actually the best amp to get cause no matter what volume level you'll listen to there is very little chance you have it loud enough to get distortion. My choices between a 2ch and 4ch ampilifier. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_34753_Rockford-Fosgate-T1000-4AD.html http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_8894_Rockford-Fosgate-Power-T600-2.html 01 Ford focus ZX3 Pioneer AVH-X491BHS PPI PC 4800.2 Morel Maximo 6.5" x2
