teamace24
One last question, was the sub displacement and dowel displacement taken in to account to get to the 3.5 net? Also the Extension = 3 3/8 x 14 1/2 is really 3 inches and 3/8th right? because on the picture it looks to stretch more than 3 inches compared to the first wall of the port of 11 inches. 1st Setup(SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 Audioque SDC2.5 15 subs8.7 cubes at 37hz build DONEAudioque 1200d (Audioque 1200d Sold, similar performance to my ap1500)Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 Mids n TweetsCerwin Vega Exl 400 4 channel Bridged(also have MTX 4004 not being used)1 Run of power Knu Fleks 4 Gauge2 Cheap stock Battery setup2nd Setup (SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 15 Kicker cvx (maybe two SA 15 in future)7 cubes net tuned at 34hzAlphasonik Old school 1600rms (ap 1500d sold GREAT Budget amp)JBL 6.5 Power Series Components, Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 ways, and 2 Kicker KS Tweets (LOUD)Cerwin vega exl4001 run knu Fleks OFC 0 gaugeBig 3 done1 Odyssey 1500, 1 optima yellow top d31
Joe X
Yes 4530 cubic centimeters (0.16 cubic feet) for the sub (as kicker specified for the 2006 version t/s parameters pdf), bracing displacement for one front to back and one top to bottom 1 1/4" wooden dowel rods amounting 0.021 cubic feet, the 45 displacement in compression chamber was not accounted for, the figure is generic and that's the only reason you see it. The port displacement calculation model is from old Torres calculator (which is not very accurate but it is what everyone uses).
teamace24
So the extension is 3 and 3/8th right? because on the pic it does look like the port extension L2 looks to extend like 6 inches. Just checking to see if everything is good to go before i start. Joe X
That's right the pic is just an assembly guide. 3 3/8" is correct.

teamace24
Hey Joe, i was talking to a member on here on smd who told me to try this box with a 33hz tuning. can you revise the specs to make it a 33hz tune, same per on everything else? Also if you can make the depth 16.5 to get a little more room to cut out the sub hole a little better, if not thats ok. Thanks. 1st Setup(SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 Audioque SDC2.5 15 subs8.7 cubes at 37hz build DONEAudioque 1200d (Audioque 1200d Sold, similar performance to my ap1500)Diamond Audio Hex 6.5 Mids n TweetsCerwin Vega Exl 400 4 channel Bridged(also have MTX 4004 not being used)1 Run of power Knu Fleks 4 Gauge2 Cheap stock Battery setup2nd Setup (SOLD):2007 GMC YukonPioneer Avic F90bt Audiocontrol Epicenter2 15 Kicker cvx (maybe two SA 15 in future)7 cubes net tuned at 34hzAlphasonik Old school 1600rms (ap 1500d sold GREAT Budget amp)JBL 6.5 Power Series Components, Infinity Kappa 6.5 3 ways, and 2 Kicker KS Tweets (LOUD)Cerwin vega exl4001 run knu Fleks OFC 0 gaugeBig 3 done1 Odyssey 1500, 1 optima yellow top d31
MrSkippyJ
i doubt you notice a difference with either 33hz or 35hz tuning. Joe X
I will agree with the comment above, changes are too subtle to say this one I love, that one I hate.
CleanSierra
I read and re-read and he mentioned he is using a CVX, not the L7. The sketchup should have a round hole in the baffle. Im not the one you want to try to troll. Just a fyi for you.
