robby512 Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 Ok I'm sorry to ask this again I think we're all on the same page but inverted is where the magnent is mounted out of box right? All my magnets are going to be in box. So I guess that technically be inverted cause it's opposite of the other two
MrSkippyJ Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I don't reverse the polarity unless the motor is sticking out of the box. If your subs are sharing the same airspace, you for sure don't want some of the subs wired opposite. Wicks Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Ok I'm sorry to ask this again I think we're all on the same page but inverted is where the magnent is mounted out of box right? All my magnets are going to be in box. So I guess that technically be inverted cause it's opposite of the other two Inverted just means backwards. It doesn't matter which way the magnet is. There's no law that says the magnet is supposed to be in the box. Only important thing is that all the cones move in the same direction. Therefore, wire like-mounted subs the same. If any are mounted opposite, reverse the polarities. bassfreake Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 I think he's talking about having all of the motors inside the box just some of the subs on the top of the box and some on the bottom of the box... right? Thanks I was pretty excited about the alt myself. kind of like a school girl, in a dress, on a swing. lol It's warming up enough that the donut-punching cyclist douchenozzles are getting their two wheeled fagmobiles out. robby512 Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 Ok thank you for your help one more questions I know everyone has a opinion Which way to fire subs in a truck down or up? Back and forward is not an option i want to go into in an 05 f150

Wicks Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Ok, need clarification on this box. There are too many conflicting ideas. We're talking about one large box, four sub holes, all sharing the same air-space...? Up or down doesn't matter, whatever you prefer, as long as the cones are in phase. robby512 Posted February 28, 2013 Author Report Posted February 28, 2013 You answered my question but just to make sure One large box for 4 12 2 will be on the top so let's say closer to the roof 2 will be down so closer to the ground So you said all I need to do is reverse the polarities on 2 of the subs so they all will move one way Instead of having 2 move out first And 2 move in first They will all move either in first or out whatever normal is Sorry I just have many questions and was just asking freely and changing subjects at random
MrSkippyJ Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 no, wire them all the same F150: Stock 2019 Harley Road Glide: Amp: TM400Xad - 4 channel 400 watt Processor: DSR1 Fairing (Front) 6.5s -MMats PA601cx Lid (Rear) 6x9s - TMS69
Krakin Posted February 28, 2013 Report Posted February 28, 2013 Do you mean a box like this? With two 12's firing up, and two 12's firing down? *Note: No particular dimensions were used to make this box.
