GoonSquadSTL
I am really stuck.. So the voltmeter has a red wire and a black wire. So I took the red wire to the power on my amplifier and the black to ground it would be the right reading but the voltmeter would never turn off, even if the car was off. Then I did red to my remote wire but that just gave me a reading of my hu, which I don't want. But that would make my voltmeter and amplifier stay on when I did that. I'm so stuck. I don't know what to do, any suggestions? Thanks, Bryan ___________________________________________________________________________________ -1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Coupe- -2 12'' Alpine Type R's- -Sony xPlode Head Unit- -Planet Audio AC2000.2 Amplifier- Anarchy Series 2-Channel Amplifier RMS Power Rating 2 ohms: 700 Watts x 2 chan. GoonSquadSTL
I have the same problem. Idt there is really anything to do. Maybe run ground to remote wire?I tried that and had no luck. It sucks lol. It should have an auto off on it, but mine don't turn of either, so i put a switch on the 12v wire. I'm guessing I'm gonna have to add a switch. Cuz I can't figure out anything else. Lol. Damn. This really does suck. ___________________________________________________________________________________ -1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme Coupe- -2 12'' Alpine Type R's- -Sony xPlode Head Unit- -Planet Audio AC2000.2 Amplifier- Anarchy Series 2-Channel Amplifier RMS Power Rating 2 ohms: 700 Watts x 2 chan. ChevyBoy95
if you get a relay, the output of the relay is turned on by either ignition or the remote turn on, and it is a 12v from which ever location you power the relay from. So if you get a relay, power and ground off the amp, remote from the headunit, then you can connect the ground of the volt meter to the ground of the relay and the positive to the relay out and it will measure your voltage at the amp. This is how mine is, i can tap into it. (this a old pic, it is different but really close.) then you wire the postive of the relay to the amp positive location and the ground to the amp ground location.
