Nick580 Posted March 11, 2013 Report Posted March 11, 2013 I did some minor research on these and apparently "Ultracapacitors quickly capture energy from braking and then use that energy to provide a short burst of power during acceleration" - reference http://www.maxwell.com/products/ultracapacitors/industries/transportation. pretty cool stuff. Do you think implementing super capacitors could provide an external source of power along with a series of batteries? Mabey gaining some sort of charge from the revolutions of a vehicles wheels or the momentum from braking?
