Hi guy's , just bought a secondhand splx 15 dvc 2ohm , going to run at 1ohm off a 1400rms dtr soundstream amp .

Please help me design a box !!!

Medium size , Good for music but also hitting low for some shake (Y) maybe 32hz or 33 what you reckon ??

Want a basic rectangular port and will face this and the sub upward .

Please can someone advise me on box dimensions . Either inches or mm for each piece , send me a link to a good box , and help me figure a good HZ tune .

Thanks guys Ollie(16) from New Zealand

Listen to mostly Hip hop and some heavy bass tracks , want it low but still able to play music crisp . Looking for some good excursion and shake etc when cranked up . The max size the box could be is width of 36inchs , depth of 20inchs and height of 20inchs . Can you work anything out from this ??

Here is the subwoofer specification website ... http://www.soundstream.com/manuals/2009/SPLX-HX%20woofers.pdf

Thanks , ollie

So here is a suggestion:

Enclosure Specifications:

Fb = 34 Hz
Vb = 3.9 ft^3

External Height = 16 in
External Width = 36 in
External Depth = 20 in

Port Width = 4 in

Cut Sheet List:

* All Dimensions in Inches.
* Wood Thickness is 3/4 for all Parts.

External Enclosure Parts:

2 x Top & Bottom (3 parts) = 36 x 20

Left & Right Sides =
Side 1 = 18 1/2 x 13 3/4
Side 2 = 19 1/4 x 13 3/4

Front = 31 1/4 x 13 3/4

Back = 36 x 13 3/4

L Port Internal Assembly Parts:

Front to Back = 14 1/2 x 13 3/4
Extension = 4 3/4 x 13 3/4

Assembly guide (generic dimensions):

Important notes:

- The port needs 4" of free airspace in front of it for proper operation.

- Setting your amp subsonic filter to 28Hz is suggested.
