Krakin Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 I had no idea that torres had a bug. Is it all aero ports or what? Krakin's Home Dipole Project http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/186153-krakins-dipole-project-new-reciever-in-rockford-science/#entry2772370 Krakin, are you some sort of mad scientist? I would have replied earlier, but I was measuring the output of my amp with a yardstick . . . What you hear is not the air pressure variation in itself but what has drawn your attention in the two streams of superimposed air pressure variations at your eardrums An acoustic event has dimensions of Time, Tone, Loudness and Space Everyone learns to render the 3-dimensional localization of sound based on the individual shape of their ears, thus no formula can achieve a definite effect for every listener.
Joe X Posted March 16, 2013 Report Posted March 16, 2013 The bug shows when you use more than one aero, for a single aero port it will be accurate, there are also other issues most dealing with the calculation of the displacement of slot ports. One can read on them on his thread.
Tercel-R Posted March 18, 2013 Author Report Posted March 18, 2013 Does anyone have any tips for attaching pvc pipe to the side wall of the box? I was thinking of chamfering the hole cutouts on the inside and outside and then applying some kind of epoxy. I thought the chamfers on teh wood would add a bit more surface for the epoxy to bond to. For the floating ends of pipe inside the box I was thinking of stuffing some polyfill underneath the pipes and then strapping them down with some plumbers tape.
