R James Trapp Posted March 16, 2013 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 To bad it went dead, I was gonna see if you had a dmm that you could put on the b+ at the amp and see what your voltage was doing when you had it turned up. I've had MTX amps and they are power hungry even at higher ohm loads. When you get it repaired (if you get it repaired) try to get a multimeter and check your voltage at the amp when turned up. mnrookie Posted March 16, 2013 Report Share Posted March 16, 2013 I see it as the amp was seeing low voltage when playing, with the amp seeing low voltage it has to work harder to produce causing clipping.
