DruLoco
So i just started having a problem with my bass the other night, when i start bumping the bass will cut off for a bit then come back on. yesterday i went out to see if it would still do it, started bumping for a bit then it did it again. i noticed that when it did it my cap goes down to 8 volts and has a steady long beep. i checked my voltage at the battery before and after this happens and it's fine. went to the shop where i had it done and he checked my grounds and told me that looked fine.(didn't go any deeper than that unless i wanted to pay for time). Question is, based on my cap doing what it's doing could it just be the cap? or could my amp be on it's last leg? I've had this set up for almost 2 years and the amp is cheap so i wouldn't be surprised if it was the amp. any help or suggestions are appreciated thanks. Recap: cap drops to 8 volts after bumping for a bit had equipment for almost 2 years, first time having a problem system was tuned with o-scope power wire looks good, ground looks good. Swissbeef
I had this same problem, I looked at the terminals on the cap and after taking the top plastic shielding off I found that one of the terminals was broke almost in half, might be the same problem? If not just get a second battery, makes a world of difference.

sayhuh?
Take the cap out. See how that goes. This. No drop at the battery and only drops at cap, I would remove it first. If it happens at the battery after that, then check the battery and connections. Blown
