Watch the bass Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 If you underpower sub´s yo uhave to build a bigger enclosure than threw the spec´s, to control the sub, in over power otherwise! "in the abundance of water, the fool is thirsty" Bob Marley
MrSkippyJ Posted March 26, 2013 Report Posted March 26, 2013 If under powering hurt speakers, then you would fuck them up every time you turned your volume down or the music got quiet. BoomZoom808 Posted March 30, 2013 Report Posted March 30, 2013 Turning up the volume and gain to compensate for an amp that lacks the required power output damages subs not simply underpowering them. Will it work yes but it will be less than ideal. Higher power subs have stiffer surrounds and heavier materials to stand up to more abuse. A lower power amp even with a clean signal will not get them moving to their potential. 2010 Mazda 3s 2.5L Pioneer DEH-X9600BHS Knu OFC 1/0 SS Platinum AGM / XS Power XP750 Alpine PDX F-4 / Morel Maximo 5 + Coax 5 IA 10.1 / SSA XCON 12
kylet1644 Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 make sure its clean power gain isnt volume control you should be fine
