When using the hpf on a amp you dont have to worry about the ssf? This is what i was told.



I have a sundown 100.4 running active with tweeter on channel 1/2 and mids 3/4 thanks.

And put a sealed enclosure in your trunk cut a hole in your deck and call it ported :lol2:

SSF is used to prevent playing below tuning and destroying your sub from bottoming out or jumping the gap and getting stuck.

Your SSF is basically a low-frequency high pass filter. So you are correct - no reason to worry about the SSF when using the high-pass
