ChevyBoy95 Posted April 2, 2013 Report Posted April 2, 2013 fyi, you will want 600-1krms for each SA 15 if you do those, 1 2500 on 6 would be loud, but not near enough to really get life out of them. Yeah, I totally agree with this. It all boils down to your budget. If you are starting from scratch, don't forget to budget for electrical stuff (wiring etc)
Sky Posted April 2, 2013 Author Report Posted April 2, 2013 I think Im gonna start with just 4 sa 15s on the bc3500. I've never heard more then 2 15s on 2.5k so I'm sure ill be happy. 99 F-150 Build Log
john253a Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 why would you go the bc over the sax3500 or aq3500 you wont regrete the extra $100 for either option as they both do over 4k
Sky Posted April 3, 2013 Author Report Posted April 3, 2013 Because the bc does close to 6k for cheaper vs the sundown. Not bashing on just looking at what I see on the website 99 F-150 Build Log
Sky Posted April 3, 2013 Author Report Posted April 3, 2013 I haven't looked at the aq. Never looked into them. 99 F-150 Build Log
john253a Posted April 3, 2013 Report Posted April 3, 2013 Because the bc does close to 6k for cheaper vs the sundown. Not bashing on just looking at what I see on the website but you aint running 0.25 daily are you ive seen the bc clamper at [email protected] 14v 1900@2 14v and 3900@1 14v there site clames 3850@1 13.8v and [email protected] 13.8v ive herd of people running 0.25 burps but never daily + they dont warrant 0.5 daily anymore where as the aq3500 is 4300@1 well worth the extra 100 if you ask me if your getting the d2 for a 1ohm final also dont rule out dc i havent run any but from what others are clamping them at they seem to be about 600 over aq and sundown this was copied from another post jacob did Power Test Completed. I know someone will ask these questions SO READ THIS FIRST : 1) AQ-3500D Tested First - Battery Bank had a charge for several hours from our bench power supplies 2) SAZ-3500D Tested Second - Only a few minutes behind the AQ-3500D Test 3) THIS IS WHY the 3500D had much more voltage drop, I had the entire surface charge gone from the batteries 4) Both amps set wide open to be apples to apples. ----- AQ-3500D POWER TEST: http://www.sundownau...0D/CIMG2679.MOV AQ-3500D VOLTAGE TEST: http://www.sundownau...0D/CIMG2681.MOV POWER : 2400 Watts AMP VOLTAGE (measured) : 71 V AMP CURRENT (calculated) : 33.8 A ACTUAL IMPEDANCE (calculated) : 2.1 ohms SUPPLY VOLTAGE : 14.22 V ----- SAZ-3500D POWER TEST: http://www.sundownau...0D/CIMG2682.MOV SAZ-3500D VOLTAGE TEST: http://www.sundownau...0D/CIMG2684.MOV POWER : 3020 Watts AMP VOLTAGE (measured) : 77.2 V AMP CURRENT (calculated) : 39.11 A ACTUAL IMPEDANCE (calculated) : 1.97 ohms SUPPLY VOLTAGE : 11.99 V
