naughtyca Posted April 6, 2013 Report Posted April 6, 2013 I'm a rookie so be a little easy on me I was wondering, How would I go about matching up subs to an amp. It's so confusing to me and I have spent some time looking up rather complicated explanations. Can anyone point me in a direction so I can buy a couple subs and start a project this summer? probably best to tell us your budget for your amp and sub and how many sub you are looking into, this will start a conversation and people can point you to a better path. everything comes down to how much you are willing to spend or want to spend

Seriously, I think budget does matter; especially since you asked us to help you out. How about at least $500 to $1,000 for everything (sub, amp, wires, etc.)? Welcome to the forum, by the way.

Also post your vehicle model and max dims for a sub box, and goals, for example if you have the space and want to get loud, higher diameter subs are the way to go. You don't want to just match your subs to the amp but your vehicle to it's audio system.

That's about 3 foot by 2.
Joe X Posted April 9, 2013 Report Posted April 9, 2013 In Blazers is usually possible to fit a couple of space saving 15" subs, say two DC Audio L3 15s and a 2.5K amp can be had on about your budget.
