Goblenator
I'm wanting to make a box out of baltic birch to save weight. I was wondering what would be the effects of a rubberized coating on the inside of the box?
reelfish92
It would probably peel once it gets rubbed on, if it even sticks to the wood. I've seen some cool birch enclosures that were resined or stained on the outside, they always look really clean. Namosh
Unless you are doing it for some cosmetic reason, I'd say it would be a waste of time and money to coat the inside of the box. My Ram Quad Cab Blow-through
reelfish92
Lol even worse on the inside. Get some roll on paint or something. big dee
Why would you want to use that in the box? Any reason behind it ?

TeamHT
^ on the inside! Read the question. Is the wood different from the inside or the outside? The effect he's taking about would be the same. And why would you try dampening the enclosure? I'm also trying to understand your reasoning. Maybe it would be easier if you let us know what you're trying to accomplish Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?
