That was a nice update man I hope you get those scars sold! I think that solo x idea would be kinda cool! Ive never seen anything like that. That is wierd that kicker didnt make a solo x 15, but those dc's sound like a good plan!

Yeah, I got the idea from seeing one built by psi. Here is a pic, it is a Solo X 18 motor, SS XXX 15 basket, with PSI soft parts. Just pure sex IMO..

I am still looking for Solo X 18 motors, if I can find four or five of them I will be doing the "Solo X 15" idea.

Actually I just found 2 of them, I need to call about them now.

After some research, no, I guess they are different.

Best I can tell, the solo x 10's &12's both used a 3" coil, the 18's use a 3.5" coil.

This tells me the motors are different. And that I want the motors from the 18's.

So you are sellin the scar's to get somthing that handle's the new dc amp's. Is the solo x motor idea the current plan, or are you looking at getting different subs and then sometime down the road building up some custom kicker x's. Just wondering what the schedual is going to be like before we get to see this thing in action!! Whatever your plan's are I'm sure iz gonna b good!!

I was hoping to sell the Skar's quickly, so I could go ahead and order some XL's. But, I have yet to get any hits on them. (except people wanting all 4 of them for $200.)

I wont give them away, I have $700 in the 4, and they are still brand new. So, if I can't get at least most of my money back, I will just keep these, and probably end up using them temporarily. In the mean while, I am gonna try to round up 5 Solo X 18 motors, to eventually run the "Solo X 15's". I'm pretty sure now that I will not be using DC subs; and that is not because of these Skars, or the Solo x idea. I don't want to run my mouth, I'll just say I am disappointed in DC's customer service. And this is not the first time.

So, to best answer the question of time, the plan is to get this built and playing by the end of June, and if the Skar's are all I have, then that's what I'll use to start with. If I do sell them quickly, I am now thinking maybe SP4's? IDK... I am open to suggestions.

On a good note, I'm going today to check out two different solo's I found on Craigslist. They are blown solo x 18's, I think that is the only way I will be able to find them.

Yeah, I can see a big difference just in the looks from the solox 12 and the 18. I have decided for sure, if I do the solo x idea, it has to be motors from 18's, or I don't even wanna do it.

And I think you are right, SP4's in my setup w/ most likely be BEAST! If I had the money, I'd order them rt now, and build the others later. Then see which ones were best. But I just don't have $2300 to spend on my build at the moment... Wish I did, w/ be fun!

Also, I will have a new update this weekend,either tonight or tomorrow. I will be picking up the first solo x 18 on wednesday. Pics will shortly follow!

Good question... From the looks of it, I'd say at least 2 - 3K. Maybe more. I'll see if I can find out!
