I have a problem with my subs or box??? or something PLEASE READ

The problem that I am having is that on the higher notes 60hz ish, the sub starts making an annoying rattling...not too bad. just enough to being annoying. (the thing is...its only the front sub)

Things i have checked so far-

switched the front sub and the back sub (sound still stays with the front sub)

dmm the coils

examine coils for color and coil rub

check box for anything loose and to see if any panels of the box are rattling

equipment list:

2 sa 12s d2

kicker zx 1000.1 amp

4 gauge power and ground.

input? thoughts? suggestions?

They are in the same chamber? Only thing coming to mind is cancellation. They're both trying to push out or pull in at the same time.

so yuo switched subs and both subs make the noise in the front hole but not in the back?

and describe the noise as best you can.

if they are facing opposite ways you would have to reverse polarity on one of them

Pull the subs and free air them, if there's no noise its not the subs. Maybe a box leak or something

thanks for the input. the subs are both firing opposite of each other...not going in the same direction at the same time.

Joking right? Only if one sub is inverted. Just because they are on seperate baffles does not mean you reverse polarity on one. That would make it some kind of isobaric enclosure or something then. I could put four subs on four different sides of an enclosure...all wired identical.

maybe a box leak by front sub..or leaks around sub gasket. I don't know whatvelsebit would be. If u moved the subs and noise stays in the front it is not the sub imo

take one sub and hook it up backwards. pos goes to negative, negative to postive

think about it.

he just said they were moving at different times.

if one sub is facing one way and other is facing opposite. they both throw same way if hooked up same. that means they would be fighting eachother.

think about it before calling me out.

im not sayign this will solve his problem. but you cant just put s sub on each side of the box and wire them normal
