1998 Ford Explorer Sport C/B Pillar Wall

Recommended Posts

Most of you guys know me on here, I'm currently working on my tC SQ build and I've always wanted to do a wall, well now I have my chance. My 98 explorer has a blown tranny and fixing it will be around 1000 so ill buy it for around $500 and ill have a 2nd vehicle as my bass car!!

Pictures of the car will be up soon, the tranny won't go into reverse but it does engage in drive, so idk when ill fix it, but probably after I have finish my scion build in a month or two.

But I'm starting this thread now because I value your opinions!

I'm thinking 4 18's C pillar wall around 15-20k RMS.

I want to keep both rows of seats bc I think being loud on a C pillar is very impressive.

Also if you guys have any pictures of your ford explorer post them up, I need some ideas :)

DAMN!!..

go berserk yo !!.. love your stuff!.

I want some opinions Kyle!! But thank you very much always appreciate you hanging around my threads.

I might recone my zv3's to 18's and buy two more, and power them with 2 ns-1's.

Orrrr buy 4 mayhem 18's, but they need über amounts of power...

I don't think you will be able to keep seats and do a C pillar wall on 20K. Think batts and amps as well. I have a 96 Ford Explorer XLT I am trying to do no wall 4 15's on 15K and keep my seats and it's not working out with the way I want it to look.

Well I figure running the zv3's they like smaller boxes and if I'm over powering them I can run em small. Can I see a picture, thanks man!

Also trying to do this build under 10k for everything, cept my FREE labor lol

yea I don't think you have enough space behind the second row to do a C pillar wall for 4 18s. Maybe 15s but not 18s

formerly known as Blue86f150

its a 4th order just because its tuned in the 40z doesnt mean it wont reach down and jiggle your balls at sub 30 hz frequencies.

Regardless if they were dipped platinum and were stuffed in Beyonce's twat.....way too fucking exspensive

Great trucks though I like the Explorer a lot and when it's done it will be LOUD! Plus I hear it's not hard to make loud. I wanted to do it with the Tahoe but that ended up being a mobile work truck.
