Couple questions for you:

Does it get hot sitting there or only when you are playing?

What ohm load are you wired to?

What gauge wire do you have going into the amp?

And what is your voltage at the amp both volume down and full tilt?

playing, 1 ohm , 12 speaker and 10 power, around 14 for both

Specs:
100 watts rms/ch into 4 ohms @ .1% THD
200 watts rms/ch into 2 ohms @ 1% THD
400 watts rms/ch into 4 ohms @ 1% THD
425 watts dynamic power bridged into 4 ohms

Amp is not 1 ohm stable

BMW 325i Kenwood KVT-647DVD

Ok. That amp is only stable down to 2 ohms unbridged / 4 ohms bridged and you are presenting a 1 ohm load to it.

Try re-wiring to 4 ohms
