TylerParrish
Put my SD card into my computer last night to upload some vids and and my computer no longer recognizes my memory card. Un-installing and re-installing the drivers did nothing. Also, my camera still reads the card. Anyone done any SD card troubleshooting before? boostin302
when you reinstalled the driver, did u do any/all of the updates? could be that the actually slot device has gone out. can you try another SD card and see if it works? kickass audio
Sounds like your card is totally dead. Go into device manager to see if it recognizes it as a hardware device. If it does then try going into disk management and see if it shows as a drive. If it does but asks to format then your card has died. 2004 GMC Envoy1 XS power S3400 batt under the hood and 4 XS Power D3100's battery installed in the rear by the amps0 gauge power wire from front to backAlpine iva-w205 touchscreen dvd/cd/mp3/ipod/am/fm/gps headunitSundown Audio SAX-200.4 amp for my mids and highs8 gauge speaker wire from amp to woofer270 amp Mechman AltRockford Fosgate T1652-s component speakersRockford Fosgate 3Sixty.2 sound processorRca's from Rockford Fosgate and Monster Cable14 gauge speaker wire for the mids and highs1 18" Ascendant Audio SMD Dual 1 ohm with custom Black & Blue carbon fiber and hand signed dustcapBox: 5.66 cubic feet net volume box tuned to 30.13Hz with 1.5" wide wooden dowels and 1.5" thick baffle1 DC Audio 5.0k amp wired to .5 ohms nominal with an imp rise of 1.35 ohms for the single AA SMD 18"Future Vision 8000k 50w bi-xenon projector HID's with 4300k 35w fog lightsLink to my build: Buildupdates/progress
SnowDrifter
I've had the card reader in my laptop funk out a few times. Reboot it and the issue goes awayCan you put the card in your camera and will it still read? ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
boostin302
snow, he said the camera still reads the card. also makes me believe that the card itself is fine and working. leads me to believe that the actually card reader device isn't working. OP, I still say try another SD card if you have one. SnowDrifter
Try this: Put the card in the camera and take a 5 second video. The let the camera sit for 30 seconds before you turn it off and remove the card ~~~~~~~~SAY NO TO PHOTOBUCKET~~~~~~~~ Snow's DD-1 tracks here: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/167433-snows-dd-1-tracks/ My take on OFC vs CCA: https://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/110381-things-that-piss-you-off-in-the-car-audio-world/?do=findComment&comment=2461444
kickass audio
oh oops, Sorry OP. I didn't catch the part where you said the camera still reads it. Try looking into the memory card slot to see if you notice any bent pins where it may not be making contact or not getting the card in all the way.
