brent379 Posted May 21, 2013 Report Posted May 21, 2013 Might be a stupid question but I've heard that mono block amps speaker inputs are wired in parallel... Is this true?? So if you were to take 2 dvc 2ohm subs... And wire each ones voice coils in parallell... But not run them in parallell together... And hook them to the amp would the amp see a 1 ohm load or a .5 ohm load??

brent379 Posted May 21, 2013 Author Report Posted May 21, 2013 I was meaning wiring one sub in parallell then hook it straight to the amp so that that one speaker is wired at 1 ohm... Then do the same with the other sub... Tht would make a 1ohm load at the amp right??

If you don't know how to wire them then .5ohm is not a good idea. imo run 2ohm for now, list them for sell and when you sell them get d4 coiled subs.
