Put some thought into it and decided not to keep these wrapped, I cant get it to wrap as clean as I want soo I decided to try out the texture paint I just got from SEM that I will use on the dash. Ran out of gray primer so went with black. one coat of texture paint, works great btw. Followed instructions and did light sanding with 400grit inbetween coats and clean with some plastic panel cleaner. 4 coats later(as recommended) and then did some color match(also SEM) did some spring cleaning and found the missing speaker grills and also a bunch of speaker stuff I forgot about but most importantly the grills! So I'm happy with it, matches the factory texture pretty good. Now I get to strip and clean and re-sand the other door........oh well Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! Soo found out that the one I painted doesn't fit i assumed because the drivers side fit that this one would even better not being wrapped but looks like i need to sand it down in a couple places so it slides into place, and took of the drivers side to take the vinyl off and its a mess soo just need a solid day finishing them. Maybe this weekend ill get both doors finished we will see.....some day this will be bumping...again thanks for the complements guys much appreciated! On a happier note i did get some new gear! goodvibez Posted March 21, 2014 Report Posted March 21, 2014 soo, tried sanding some of the goo off the pod that was wrapped and it's going to take some time, also tried using some desolve-it but that wasn't working either, it's a mess!! also going to have to fix some spots with bondo because its also messed it up in alot of places. also went to town sanding the passenger side down, its now being painted still doesn't fit as snug as the other drivers side but it's better Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it.
