Didn't end up working on the truck this weekend..someone was in my workspace all day and it was just too damn hot!..got spoiled in germany with nice 60-70 degree weather...forgot how 95-105 degrees feels like lol! But should start back up this weekend Also gotta fix my passenger side speaker pod.... the metal tabs are now too flimsy and it just fell out while I was going down the road..no damage though, I'll just ca glue some new beefed up tabs and be back in buisness..half the tabs were snapped off to begin with so I'm not suprized Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! goodvibez Posted June 24, 2014 Report Posted June 24, 2014 soo got some stuff put back in...looks much better lol...could have done this a while back but got lazy haha...feels good to look at an actual dash and have my a-pillars put back on.. not to mention speakers wired up and screwed in and dash bezel on! Also now you can see how the dash came out and how my new vent inserts look glued in place and honestly I'm happy with it also got some advertizing put on figure theres not much to steal so I dont mind throwing on some bling! so hope to get more done throughout the week..still need to finish up deadener, by that I mean I need to by some SHCA deadener lol! and decided to make a new console..similar but w/o bedliner going to have to smd guages in console insted of the dash just to save myself some work trying to fit 4 in there as opposed to 3 like I had before Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. So made some decisions today, going to put my sub box in to do some measuring for the console and maybe some other things then pull it back out and start getting on the electrical wiring for all the accessories. Need to get the 360.3 wired up and then I can finish the mids and highs. So for mids and highs I think I'm ditching the idea of putting in rear door speakers and c-pillar speakers, and running all 8 sets off my rf t1000-4ad since its 1ohm capable per channel. its going to simplify things ALLOT and also means I should be able to mount bothe 360.3 and the rf amp behind the rear seat by the port and wont have to put any amps under the sub box...just want to be able to get to the amps with easy for tunning and wiring. goodvibez Posted June 25, 2014 Report Posted June 25, 2014 /\/\/\ I think so as well, I mean same amount of speakers as before but going active should make them slightly louder not using the crossovers. sooo this happened today...buddy brought his sub over because he was hearing some weird noise out of it...told him his voice coild could be busted coming undone...I was right..these jl shallow 13's have a enormous voice coil, also an interesting magnet, but his isbusted. They dont make these anymore I guess so I said maybe jl can fix them...but who knows?
