more glass is better then not enough, if thats the shit from canadian tire id so 4 layers

also. the wrinkels are gunna be a bitch to get out and glass over.

once your first layer of glass is dry, where ever its flat drill a bunch of 1/8" holes. so the resin can seap threw, giving it more area to stick to and then you can do a layer on the back side to attach it to the rear.

also. once its all done mix up a decent size batch, and pour it IN the panal and rotate it, soaking it on the inside and also attatching the inside to the panal

:roflmao: Yep, you know all about the canadian tire stuff lol. I got the staple wrinkles looking a bit better now before I glassed.

How many 1/8" holes do you drill?

and damn.. this resin is killing my wallet. I'm on my 4th can @ $20 each... fuck. takes 14 ounces of resin just to do one layer of mat. They seem solid already. I will do more layers. I also got kitty hair filler to put over it so would I still need 4 layers?

Anyways, thanks for the tips man. appreciated. :drink40:

He pretty much said why i was asking if you drilled holes, it makes the whole panel way more solid, gives the fiberglass more of a grab on the factory door panel

Yep. Sounds like a plan. Only problem I can foresee is that the flat spot on my door is over the storage compartment that was on the bottom.. if I drill through, I can't access the backside unless I cut the plastic out behind it. It's right on a seam so I think it may weaken the door a good bit if I cut it?

Damn cold weather lol. $20 a day in propane ffs

Good start on the panels !

Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do that
I can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows

came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream.

oh lawd.

Nice work on the panels. Are you going to power windows? Doesn't look like you have enough clearance for the cranks.

I checked, there is just enough room 1/8" to clear with the handles.
