Sundown X18 or Z18 og DC lvl4 with lvl5 coil

hey forum:)

i am about to aquire a new sub for my ride

but i cant deside if it should be a
18" sundown x18
or
18" sundown z18
or
18" DC audio lvl4 with lvl 5 voice coil:)

i will have it powered by a JBL BPX 2200.1 2200rms@ 1,2 and4 ohms

maybe you have some experience and can tell me the ups and downs ?

first thing first is no vs threads! This thread is basically one but i will give a little advice. If you plan on adding more power later go for higher power handling sub if not go for the one with the lower power handling. No one will tell you what brand to choose. Just pick one and go from there! welcome to the forum!

Anything comparing 1 product to another is a Vs thread.

It's not that we don't want to help you, but usually asking which is better or something ends up with responses from people who have only used 1, not both products. Plus much of how something performs is install dependent anyway. It comes down to which company you want to support

Instead of asking which one's better, try asking if anybody's had any experience with any of them in particular. Then ask what they thought the pros and cons were and see if their goals were similar to yours goals for the install you're wanting to do. Otherwise you get people who will nuthug one particular brand regardless of your goals and what you're trying to do

edit: Oh and posting in the correct forum section might help as well. You've posted in Member Rides and Builds whereas the Subwoofer forum might've been a better choice

Issue is that your amp puts out the same power regardless of ohm load. So you can't really overpower the sub and rely on rise to save you.

I know the dc needs more power than that, it will probable be descent on the X and the Z needs atleast 3K to get loud, and your amp might do rated with proper electrical but probably not, then take box rise into account
