80prs Help ***Gain Issue(?) pg.2 EDIT-Solved***

Recommended Posts

Finally got the deck installed. While setting the gains (dd-1), the pots on my 4-channel are way off. I know how much gain "doesn't matter", but usually the knobs are pretty close to the same on a 4-channel. These are way off. Whats more concerning is that the one that is higher is for the tweeters. Dont want to blow them.

Then turn the pot down....

You don't gain distortion by turning things down

Figured it out. The hpf on the "high" rca's only goes down to 1.25khz. So its not sending a full signal at 1khz. Hence, needs more gain. Damn this deck LOL.

Is the thing to do, is set up with DD1's on standard mode,... then switch to network???

Thoughts?

Or use the the "mids" rca to set both gain pots on the 4 channel.
