Wood's -2011 Altima- AKA "Red Ruby" : New Build (pg.150) #SpringBling

Recommended Posts

Also decided to snatch out all my SHCA wire and run KnuKonceptz .. The quality seems to be a little bit better from my experience imo, so since this will be red ruby last build for a while, it's only right, everything gets done its best, with the best material I can afford! Also have some other goodies coming thats non audio related.. I'll post them too when the time comes

What makes you feel that KnuKonceptz is better than SHCA? Just curious.

Well the sleeve around my current SHCA wire feels more brittle, like it's cheap and I did buy the ofc... Also the ofc I used before to wire up my amps and big 3, It created build up on my batt terminals, replaced it with welding cable and zero problems.. I've done installs for friends that I had buy Knu amp kits and till this day their wire look good as day 1.. given that all my wire is ran in factory locations and arent exposed to elements, I don't see how the wire sleeve could feel so brittle... Not bashing in anyway, just my personal experience.. could've just got a bad batch, but I rather not take the risk when I want this to be my last time touching anything audio related on my car

No, not saying you were bashing. I was just curious. I've ran it since Jon released it and even had one of the first "bad batches" and I've never had any problems with it, cca or ofc. Interesting about the "brittleness". Ok, well I hope it works out for you.

Keep up the good work.

After all the tape was pulled, here's how it all turned out!!

I still have to touch up the edges a little... A friend of mine is gonna mix me up a bottle this weekend so I can go over that bare wood so the transition from carpet to wood is flawless!!

I also did not do body work on the painted area on purpose (besides sanding the edges smooth). I wanted to give the painted area a "two-tone" effect where the baffle and the counter sink would have different textures... I love how it turned out.. some ppl will question or suggest other things, but this was my vision and I think it's unique!! All I have left is to carpet the sides and run the wire inside the enclosure which I'm gonna staple a t the top so no wires can be seen thru the aero ports.. Other than that the enclosure is finished... It all boils down to install now!
