Wood
Thats gonna look killer man! Thank you bro!! I'm trying to make this build very simple where it feels like oem (since it's my daily driver), but when you pay attention to the details, they give the wow factor.. scooter99
Another thing you could've done, is cut out a round for each sub hole, and wrapped the carpet into each sub hole, pushed in the rounds, and then after a while when they dried, you could've cut the carpet in the corner and it would've come out smooth an easy and you wouldn't even have had to paint. You may not see much paint after the subs are in. Looks good though. I still like a good old fashioned carpeted enclosure! I actually considered wrapping it around the lip, but I wanted to show as much paint as possible since its subtle... I actually test fitted a sub today and even with the grommet around the sub, you will be able to see the paint pretty well.. I did kind of want to kick my self for not filling in the edges where the layers show in the paint, but the way the baffle is smooth and the edges have the grooves showing, it will actually look pretty freaking nice from what I imagined in my head.. almost like a two tone/texture paint job... And I actually chose carpet this time for the durability.. I didn't like how easy it was to chip the paint on my last enclosure showing some bare wood when something rubbed against it. But thanks for tuning in bro!! Big updates coming up when I get off vaca next week! 2011 Nissan Altima aka Red Ruby HEADUNIT: Pioneer AVH X2700BS ELECTRICAL: -Singer 230a -Northstar gr34 -(2) Northstar SMS220 w/ Custom Terminals from 12V Metalworkz -100% Welding Cable FRONT STAGE:-(2 Sets) Hertz HSK165 -Hertz HSK130 -Ampere Audio 125.4 SUB STAGE: -(3) Sundown Audio SA REV2 12's -Ampere Audio 3800.1 V2 MISC (NON AUDIO RELATED): -Interior & Exterior Lights LED -Gloss Black Roof (PAINTED) -15% Front, 5% Rear Tint -Roof Spoiler -20" TSW Snettertons (20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear) -Custom Projector Retrofit (FX-R 3.0, 6.5k HID, Morimoto Mini H1 (faux projector), Quad Starry Night Halos) ----- COMING SOON!! -Aftermarket Fog Lights -Custom Painted Engine Covers My Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169869-woods-2011-altima-aka-red-ruby-new-video-more-updates/page-109 Retrofit Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/185787-hid-projector-retrofitting-diy-by-wood/#entry2765346

Wood
Also was surprisingly about to get a head start on painting my enclosure!! Got it all taped up to perfection and primered!! should be ready for a little wetsanding when I get off work preparing for the base coat and clear when I get back off vaca on monday... 2 light coats 3rd coat, but heavy.. will wet sand this coat before painting the base coat! I still have to receive everything in the mail so I probably wont be able to have it fully playing by the end of next week due to my car being painted (fixing dents, scratches, painting my roof, calipers and engine cover) BUT she will be playing the following week for sure!! Also decided to snatch out all my SHCA wire and run KnuKonceptz .. The quality seems to be a little bit better from my experience imo, so since this will be red ruby last build for a while, it's only right, everything gets done its best, with the best material I can afford! Also have some other goodies coming thats non audio related.. I'll post them too when the time comes 2011 Nissan Altima aka Red Ruby HEADUNIT: Pioneer AVH X2700BS ELECTRICAL: -Singer 230a -Northstar gr34 -(2) Northstar SMS220 w/ Custom Terminals from 12V Metalworkz -100% Welding Cable FRONT STAGE:-(2 Sets) Hertz HSK165 -Hertz HSK130 -Ampere Audio 125.4 SUB STAGE: -(3) Sundown Audio SA REV2 12's -Ampere Audio 3800.1 V2 MISC (NON AUDIO RELATED): -Interior & Exterior Lights LED -Gloss Black Roof (PAINTED) -15% Front, 5% Rear Tint -Roof Spoiler -20" TSW Snettertons (20x8.5 front, 20x10 rear) -Custom Projector Retrofit (FX-R 3.0, 6.5k HID, Morimoto Mini H1 (faux projector), Quad Starry Night Halos) ----- COMING SOON!! -Aftermarket Fog Lights -Custom Painted Engine Covers My Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/169869-woods-2011-altima-aka-red-ruby-new-video-more-updates/page-109 Retrofit Build Log: http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/185787-hid-projector-retrofitting-diy-by-wood/#entry2765346
