So I'm thinking about going with either 2 9k's or 2 10k's. I'm running on 12v batts and will have the amps wired at 1 ohm. I'm not sure what one would be better for me. Any input would be appreciated.

If you were running a 14 or 16v setup, the 9k would be the way to go, but given you are running all 12v, the 10k is going to be the better amp for your application. If it were me doing it in my truck running 14v(charging at 16.8), then the 9ks would be the better option.

Hope this helps.

Thanks cj! Guess it comes down to deciding if I'm ever going to run high voltage which I might do.

My advice would be to stick with 12v. In most cases, running a higher voltage requires 2 charging systems if you want to do it right. Now you have to have at minimum 2 alternators. 1 for your 12v and the second for your 14/16v. I have made this mistake and am trying to help keep others from making it as well. If you are going to build a daily driver, stay with 12v! First off if you can fit 2-3-4 alts, you can have all of them dedicated to charging your 12v side. More charging capability means your voltage stays solid longer. Secondly you only have 1 choice when it comes to 14/16v batteries and in my experience the 14v that I am using now do not have the reserve cap that the same size 12v battery does.

Daily drivers are meant to be run on 12v. If you are going to get into serious competition where every last watt you can possibly squeeze out of your amps is necessary, then that is when 14/16v comes into play.

Thanks for the input. I think I will def. stick to 12v on the truck because its my daily. Quad alts are going in next weeks so I should have plenty of 12v power. Also as you said it seems like the res. cap of the 14/16v batts sucks. Maybe ill try HV on my next project that's not going to be a daily but def sticking to 12 on the truck. Thanks a lot guys
