Or do some research into how the circuit works and what triggers the code. Then go from there. Maybe you need to put a resistor across some wires to act as a dummy load? Wire a read wire to the alt or something? If you dont fix the problem that is setting the code, the check engine light will be right back on.... Its been a while, But I figured out how to fix and has been good for 7 full days, I waited to post till I was sure. I took a positive lead from a switched power ran that to a 12v light bulb (turn signal) took negative from bulb and wired to the gray field wire that goes to the ecm....works great!!!! If you dont fix the problem that is setting the code, the check engine light will be right back on....
