Got all the exposed edges routed:

Made these braces:

Took it all apart to paint the port. White first, then the Power Green:

Finally glued the port in there:

Ordered one pair, salvaged another from an old box. LOVE these binding posts, I do and will use them on all my boxes:

It's comin along. SHD is still like 2-3 weeks out, so I've got time. Grossly underestimated the amount of paint I'd need, only ordered one can and used it all on the port. Got more ordered today, but the paint portion is on hold for now.

I like this build. Mostly I'm in love with the Levi and 24" Tantric. But the build itself is quite impressive. And you should maybe consider buying a house with a garage. lol

It's all gone!

Thanks man. I can't wait to get that SHD! And yeah, I've definitely seriously considered it lol.

Spent most of my day literally watching glue dry. When I put the port in I wasn't able to get glue in between the port wall and the side wall, so I've had to go back and glue it all. Had to do a couple passes, and drying time is long when you're trying to fill gaps.

Besides glue, threw in a couple dowels:

That's all the bracing I'm doing. Should be fine.

And I cut the baffle. This is enormous. You can't really tell from the picture, but it's huge. Got a spray paint can there for some reference:

I REALLY wanted to do a flush baffle, but I think I need the strength of the double baffle, and I can't add a third baffle. Thoughts?

So drilling through plexiglass is tedious. Took me more than an hour to do just these 16 holes. Can't let the bit get too warm or it will melt it, can't spin it too fast or push too hard or you won't get anywhere before it melts, and you have to be careful when exiting the other side to not chip it. Went out and bought a glass/tile bit, was about halfway through and this happened:

Shoot. So, went with what I heard was the next best option, a standard spade bit. Worked well, no issues.

Shot it with one can of white. That's all I have for now, got two more in the mail. Don't mind the top, had tape there to block the port.

First baffle goes on tomorrow. Then I'm waiting on paint.

Considering doing a multicolor splatter on the inside. Should I, and if so, what colors?

orange, pink, sky blue... light and airy colors that are in your face like lime green.

Could you throw a 1/2 inch flush baffle? I may end up doing that with my box since I went with a triple baffle...building for the future :)

Or hell, put a flush ring around it and route the inner next to the sub, glass the outer where it flows out to the rest of the baffle...it'll look like a huge nipple though

Yeah, I was thinking bright ass colors like that. Really leaning towards just leaving it white though, think it will look ok? It's just getting to be so much work and money.

My initial thought was the bold, but then I couldn't stain. I want to stain to match the amp rack. The 1/2" flush isn't a bad idea, but I don't know if I can even fit that, and it wouldn't really be flush then. Would make it less of an offset, but the SHD mounting ring is 3/4" high. I think I'm just gonna bite the bullet and top mount.

And this would be the biggest nipple I've ever seen lol.

I would stick to white. If you want color just put a multi-color / million-color LED system in there. White makes it really easy to make the inside whatever color you want at the touch of a button. I would stick a nice fat Tantric sticker inside the box in a visible area but that's just me. Love the build.

Yeah probably just gonna do white with the white LEDs I have. I was thinking a sticker too, but not sure how much of that back face you'll be able to see with that big ass woofer in there lol.

I was actually originally thinking of etching/frosting "Tantric Sounds" into the plexi, but that's not happening.

Just caught up on this build. Beautiful stuff, just awesome.

Thank you sir!
