Electrical is a Singer 275a alternator, d3400 up front and a d3100 in the rear. @ 24" deep there is still 4-6 inches space to the rear hatch door. with the dimensions given the box will slide right in through the rear. Not chasing #'s just want loud to the ear if that makes sense. Decent box building skills. TEAM DISTANT THUNDER
thefourth
Do some research and build your own. I know myself I change enclosures more than my underwear. It's only going to benefit you in the future, if you can design and build them on your own. Thanks alaskanzx5 I might just do thatI can recone a sub myself. About a year ago I took 2 12" power acoustic mofos and made one sub. I took the magnet and the motor off of one and j b welded it to the other motor and magnet. I had to wind my own voice coil so it would work. After I was done hooked up to 2 boss 5000w amps. And shattered my back and all my side windows came to this thread to recommend soundqubed and ct sounds. OP goes with soundstream. oh lawd. Karkov
I think he is planning on building his own just needs some more help with the design aspect. He might not want to change boxes like he does underwear, lol. box design IMO is an art with almost infinite variables where every little thing can change a lot. I am similar to what the dude described about himself and setup above and i left the design to someone who understands it more as well. 2007 Chevy Tahoe (SOLD) 12 ~ FI Audio X series 10" w/BP option 2 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @0.67 3 ~ DC Audio 5.0K @1.0 2 ~ PPI 3 way sets (not installed yet) 1 ~ RF T400-4, 1 ~ RF T600-2, 1 ~ RF T600-4 4 ~ CT Sounds 5.25" Strato comps (rear fill only) 1 ~ XS Power D4800 1 ~ XS Power D3400 8 ~ XS Power XP3000 160 stock alt, Mechman 370 Elite, 185 DC Power 320+ Sq. NightmareImpala
I have built a few boxes in my time but just looking for design from someone else that had more experience than I do. I would obviously build it myself. Just looking for help is all.... TEAM DISTANT THUNDER
DylanBunch
If you have an android phone, get the app called "box tuning calculator" almost as good as torres and its on ur phone. Now, dc suggests 3.5cbft for each sub, so when you go on the app, make the dimensions so the box is a couple cbft high than 7cbft play with the port dimensions because the port will displace around 1.5-2cbft plus youll have bracing, also it'll give you a suggested port area range (shoot for the higher number). Also, shoot for around 14sq inches of port per foot, and make sure you add displacements and make sure that the box 7cbft NET not gross. 2006 Ford Explorer 2 Team AA/Sundown 15s 6th order Ct Sounds 7k 4 PRV Mr500 8s Rockford p1000-2 Team Subsonic Lows

Thank you. I like the design alot. Just what I was looking for. Highly appreciated. What size dowell rods are implied for bracing? Joe X
2x4s for the side panels 1 1/2" wooden dowel rods for the cross braces AND the port brace which you can do with 3/4" wood. I wanted to say again that you must be certain that you have at least 6" of free airspace in front of the port or it won't work properly, make careful measurements, if the box need a small correction just let me know.
