I didn't like how I terminated the carpet on the sides, so I cut it on the corners and painted the sides. Didn't like how it turned out so I did the whole bedliner thing on the ends. Again, didn't appreciate it, made some 1/4" panels to go on the ends and carpeted them for a little contrast. Still not real happy with the way it turned out due to my shitty craftsmanship but same as before I am gonna leave it for now because I have bigger fish to fry elsewhere with this thing. But it will get better! This hard work will pay off and will bring a smile to your face and you wont give two f%$#"s about all the hiccups that you've had You will just be stoked!! May not be the first day you fire it up...might be after tunning and more troubleshooting but trust me there will be a day when you feel it was all worth it! Hell I had so many issues with my door panels and dash! More than I let on that is...ended up redoing things on both! Just a few days ago my friend pointed out that my speaker pods in the doors are keeping the glove box from opening with the door closed....I was like uuuuuh wtf!!? I can fix it but, but I'm in your boat! I have bigger fish to fry! I think the box looks titties man! The fact your redoing things hoestly just mean you give a shit! Keep it up man! We are all still stoked to see it get put together... .....sorry for such a long responce lol. Funny how the people who have a louder system than you will usually give you a compliment about your setup because they know how much blood, sweat, time, and money you put into it. The people who criticize or try and one up you....have a p.o.s to no system at all and will tell you all about this "other" guys system! Saddley I'm sure if I meet this "other" guy...he will probably tell me he thinks your just as annoying as I think you are! I'm not compensating, just proud of fabricating! Karkov Posted May 8, 2014 Author Report Share Posted May 8, 2014 Well I have been working 8-12 hours a day 7 days a week and am told it won't slow down till mid to late June..... Still waiting for buss bars to connect batteries together and amps into so thus nothing is hooked up, powered on, tuned, etc.etc.etc. Also waiting on DC Power dual alt kit and alt so really nothing new here. 99% sure I won't be playing by May 18th comp in Clearwater unless everything comes this week but that isn't gonna happen, lol I am still going but nothing will be playing so I will more be an observer. If you follow this you know one of my XP3000 was cracked and leaked so I ordered a new one from Droppin'Hertz and it came right away, got it on the maintainer, etc A few more misc. goodies from Droppin'hertz/SHCA Basically the way it sits right now...(ignore the blue tape marking the wire underneath) Super tweets mounted, crossovers inside the little box part. Everything carpeted and my little helper (daughter) Since the box is double layered on all sides and triple layered on the baffle I am hoping for almost no flex, especially on the port side considering it helps brace it. The side with the tweets would be the most likely to flex but the tweets housing with help prevent that also. So the amp rack will basically be underneath the tweets, I haven't liked any of my configurations so far that I have come up with for the amp racks so i am still tinkering with that. The tweets face the front of the vehicle, row of batteries along the floor under the super tweets and directly under the amp racks to give you an idea of how this will sit in there. Yes, they will be loud but with the back rest of the back seat up it will help muffle them (or I can fade to the front) but when jamming or 2 passengers instead of 4 I can put the back seat folded down or whatever and have them blaring into your ears thus revealing things below them as well. This set up is only for this summer so meh for now I guess. Sorry it's blurry, wire wheel on a drill to get clean metal, Sorry no grinder, bolted in on their own bolt.
