Rection Posted September 14, 2013 Report Share Posted September 14, 2013 well, im ready for the opener. will be in the stand and settled at 6am. first thing i see is gettin' busted. great thing about hunting in town, its never really all that dark, and the game warden doesnt bother with checking around town. just for the record, im hunting where i work. i work in the back of the shop and i can see out the back door. looking out the back door and under the dump truck, i can see down through the tree and into the bottom. every morning about 7:15 i see the same 4 deer standing down there in the same place. its not really sporadic, i seem 4 out of 5 days. where they stand in the mornings is about 15 yards in front of my stand, and they stand there broadside to it. they stay there for about 10 minutes, then go to the little water hole and then come back through the spot again. there is a big buck that is always in that little group, and ive been trying him for 3 years. ive never been keyed in on him like this in past seasons. ive shot at him before but misjudged my yardage. as long as it all works out, he is gonna die tomorrow. if i get him, he should easily be the #1 ranked tattnall county bow buck of all time. he is slippin' bad, and im gonna use that to my advantage and take him for a ride in the truck.
