nolij1 Posted July 9, 2013 Report Posted July 9, 2013 a thought popped in my head as i was doing my install and i want to triple check that i did it right. i have a 1ohm dvc 18" ssa zcon along with a AQ-3500.1. now the amp puts out 2600 at 2 ohms and 4300 at 1ohm. i needed to wire the sub to a 2 ohm so i followed a diagram that wired a 2ohm dvc to a 4 ohm load, in my case a 1ohm dvc to a 2ohm load. now here is probably the dumb question, on the amp, there are four speaker wire terminals. its neg, neg. pos. pos. the outmost terminals are what i should be using with the one sub correct?

Just think of it as one big positive terminal and one big negative terminal broken down into two positives and two negatives for the ease of wiring multiple subs. I had the same question a year ago, the manuals do not make it clear, dont feel dumb, these newer korean amps were different than any amp I had owned in the last 15 years.
