Raptorman Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 If you have a single sub, dual 2 will wire you to 1 ohm. Dual 4 will wire you to 2 ohm. Your amp puts out 1600 at 1 ohm though so it may be a little bit too much for the sub. SnowDrifter Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Just get the D4. You are over-thinking things too much. Get the coils to match your amp. Get d4 coils to wire to 2 ohms. Then if/when you get another sa-12, get that one with D4 coils too. That way you can run the amp at 1 ohm. The only reason we say D4 and not D2 is because your amp puts out too much power a 1 ohm for a single sub.
