CaliBass Posted July 18, 2013 Report Posted July 18, 2013 Ok so I have a very cheap setup right now 2 kicker comp(terrible I know) and a Rockford fosgate prime 500watt amp. I am wanting to upgrade to something that will basically hit a lot harder than what I have. A lot of people told me sundown was good and all the videos I've watched the look like they would shake my little but ruck apart. So what I want to know should I get sa10's 2 of them or sa 12's 2 of them also. My friend has Rockford fosgate hx2's and I want to have a louder system than him. Feel free to suggest a amp as well.
john253a Posted July 19, 2013 Report Posted July 19, 2013 Cone is king on same power and specs So if you can fit 12" in with the correct net idd go the 12" If you want for a bit less get a single x15 of a tad more a z15 It all comes down to $$$ Power Box
Joe X Posted July 19, 2013 Report Posted July 19, 2013 12s definitely if you have enough space for them and you want to upgrade that amp. if you want to hold on to your amp a then a single 15 unless it's a trunk car if the box can't be at least 16.5" tall.
Agreene Posted July 24, 2013 Report Posted July 24, 2013 if your trunk can allow the cubic measurements for the 12 inch subwoofers, 12's is the answer. REMEMBER the most important thing in a system is your BOX DO not buy a box offline make one or get someone to make it professionally -- are you upgrading your amp ? -- if so there is a lot more then just getting new subs and a amp

RidingTooLow Posted July 25, 2013 Report Posted July 25, 2013 It's all in the box. Smooth airflow and solid construction. Steve Meade put a Rockford Prime 750.1 on the amp dyno and was able to squeeze 1000 watts out of it. So I have new respect for those amps. Make sure you wires are up to par also.
