loganuf
I would throw a RF T2000.1 on them and call it a day. I wouldn't give them that much power unless you are running them at 2 ohms. Blackedout
I wouldn't give them that much power unless you are running them at 2 ohms. A RF 2000 would work as far as space goes. What about charging system/ power. I'm running all stock stuff on a 96 toyota tacoma with ~8-12 feet of 4 gauge power wire, all connections soldered. Due to the fact that the length is so short, should I be worried about burning the wire up? Whats the most efficient amp setup, so I don't have to spend $600 on a charging system? Wheres a good place to get them off the internet and what should be a reasonable target price? I'm looking on ebay and it looks like they go for about $600-$750. Anybody got hookups? Used? I got a lot to learn, so all help is appreciated. Quote Trunk Build Log
Blackedout
I wouldn't give them that much power unless you are running them at 2 ohms. They should be able to take at least 1400 watts of clean power each. Like I said from the beginning, I want something I can grow into, or use for more than just one sub combo. Plus, I'd rather throw more (Clean- RMS) power to them than less and clipped power. Blackedout
Calm down turbo. He was just giving examples of mixed opinions.I love my Sundowns. I actually switched from a pair of RF T1000s to these but only because I'm going more competition and will be running them @ 0.5ohm. If not for that i would still have my RFs. The same ones I linked you to. They're very solid amps and aren't too expensive if you buy from the right place. What would I expect to spend on a Sundown SAZ-1500D OR SAZ-3000D Sorry about all the posts... Cant find the delete button to combine into one. Derrick824
What would I expect to spend on a Sundown SAZ-1500D OR SAZ-3000D You can find the 1500s used for $320-$350 shipped in the classifieds over at caraudio.com. I got my pair used for $645 shipped. dB-R is selling refurbed 1500s for $350 shipped and 3000s for $700 shipped with 1yr warranty. http://www.db-r.com/sell/store/index.php I can't vouch for the 3000s cause I have played with one yet, but I can tell you from experience that the 1500s are very efficient. I'd still recommend at least an upgrade to 1/0 wire and do the big 3 upgrade.
David
I wouldn't give them that much power unless you are running them at 2 ohms. why are you scared? I gave my set alot more power than that before they let go, if you build the box correctly you should have no problems giving them a clean 1000 watts RMS each, and I will gaurantee the power comming from that amp is CLEAN, there is no substitue for HEADROOM. may03LT
I would throw a RF T2000.1 on them and call it a day. Agree of a sundown 1500.1 anytime. But i like the RF2000.1 option RF T2000 Im running my 2 L7s on a T20001bd at 2 ohms with no problems, however I did have to get a ho alt and do the big 3 after installing it due to voltage issues. If you have the electrical, the right enclosure, and a clean signal, you can wang them all day long on that amp.
