Why people not like strapping amps?

I knew this would get over some people's heads, fritos gets it. Maybe I should do a video to help better explain.

Think of it like this would rather have an amp doing 5k at 2 ohms or 2 2500 at 1ohm each it comes down to the components that makes up that power, ACV and ACC.

except when you strap, the amps are still seeing 1 ohm. It's not 2ohms anymore once you strap them.

if I strap my amps it would be 4 ohm not 2 anymore not all amps lower in ohms........

never heard of that in my life. What brand? which model?

edit: even if true, sounds like a HUGE waste of time to strap, if your impedance goes up, ultimately making you lose some power...

So I have a newbie type question. Doesn't running one amp per sub in an enclosure with the same chamber, introduce problems with tuning etc. by having to make 100% sure they're at the same gain level? I mean I know I know DD-1 CC-1 but what about before those were introduced? Why wouldn't you run strapped, or do you still have to gain match the two amps strapped too?

LIke I said newbie type question.

The two components that make up power are ACC (AC current) and ACV (AC voltage). At 2 ohms you ACV is higher then at 1 ohm. That is ohms law - fact. Which mines current is lower at a higher voltage. Current bad, voltage good. Lower operating current means coils happier longer - fact.

You guys need to stop getting hung up on the amp is seeing 1 ohm so it is same. Forget about that it is blinding you to the facts. No offense to anyone in this conforsation. Higher output voltage is better. Lower output current. 2 ohm final load is better then (2) 1 ohm loads.

i run Rockford Fosgate amps. Their master and slave isn't like other brands. Their "master" will control up to 100 slaves with NONE of them strapped. Or you can strap if you wan't to but like i said, unless you have one coil and 2 amplifiers, there is no need to strap at all.
